My name is Nikki Schwartz, and for the past 8 years I've been an elementary classroom teacher. I spent 4 years teaching third grade while earning my eMINTS4all certification. I then jumped up to fifth grade and completed my eMINTS full certification and Intel certification. I had a 2:1 ratio with laptops in my classroom. I then moved to a new school, Hallsville R-IV, and worked as a 4th grade teacher for two years in a 2:1 desktop computer classroom.
After the position for Technology Integration Specialist opened, I happily accepted it. I look forward to helping my colleagues, administration, students, and parents use technology to create meaningful learning experiences Kindergarten through high school. This blog will serve as a reference for teachers and administrators that want to incorporate technology into their buildings. You will find tips, suggestions, helpful hints, and more. If there is something specific you want to see, just contact me! I have had a wonderful start to the year so far. I can't wait to see where the second half takes us!
